Just so there is no spelling confusion… these are sYnapses; SINAPSE representing a play on words that refers to the neuroanatomical synapse  (a term first coined by Charles Sherrington in 1897 to connote the connecting between two nerve cells; etymologically derived from the Greek “syn-” meaning together and “haptein” meaning to fasten or bind) whilst “sino-” was first popularly used from 1879 onwards to refer to matters Chinese (Latin “synae”) and pays tribute to the fact that Sinapse was first established in 2002 in China’s Shanghai.
